Bigfoot Day 2017
On October 19 through October 22, the legend of Bigfoot, so prevalent in the Mountain Empire region of Tennessee, will be celebrated. October 20, 2017 is the 50th anniversary of the Patterson-Gimlin video footage of Bigfoot. Also known as the Tennessee Wildman or the Woodbooger, reports of Bigfoot sightings have been happening for hundreds of years. Our celebration will take place at Bays Mountain Park in Kingsport, TN. Thursday, October 19, 6-9PM - A Night with Papa Stro Maestro
Bigfoot Day Celebration begins with a real fan favorite.

Friday, October 20, NOON start time - Bigfoot Day!
Research talks will be given by members of the Mountain Empire Cryptid Research Organization: Bill Lancaster, Sam DeLoach, Charlie Lawson, Tracy Arnold, and Matthew Delph. Papa Stro Maestro kicks this special day off with a tribute to the Patterson-Gimlin footage, and birthday cake for all to celebrate Bigfoot's 50th! Location: Farmstead Museum, 3rd parking level, Bays Mountain Park. $2 admission for adults. Kids under 12 are free!
Saturday October 21, 10AM-6PM - More Bigfoot Day Celebration Events at Bays Mountain Park
A great day at Bays Mountain Park will include:
A Comic Con will be held at the Farmstead Museum from 10AM to 6PM. $3 admission for adults. Kids under 12 are free!
Cosplay Contest: We invite attendees to come dressed as Bigfoot or your favorite cryptid. Of course, traditional cosplay such as Batman, Harley Quinn and Spiderman are welcome. There will be a Cosplay Contest at 5 PM with prizes.
Panels and talks beginning at NOON in the Farmstead Museum
Tabletop Gaming in the Discovery Theatre of Bays Mountain Park.
Hear music in the Bays Mountain Amphitheatre by Antler Hill.
